Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs at Western Illinois University
Interests
I coordinate a wide range of sustainable agriculture and bioenergy programming within the Illinois Value-Added Sustainable Development Center and the Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs, in collaboration with the WIU Department of Agriculture . My interests include diversity and perenniality in cropping systems and participatory research methods.
Background
I received my MS in Agronomy and Sustainable Agriculture at Iowa State University, and my AB in Geography at the University of Missouri-Columbia. I worked with Practical Farmers of Iowa prior to my move back to Illinois in 2005. I also try to stay connected to The Land Institute, where I was a graduate research fellow.
