Eric Wilson and Julie Zielinski recently completed a month long experiment of only eating food grown within 100 miles of Champaign- Urbana. At this month's Green Tea, they will be discussing their experience and where to find local ingredients. Come and learn how eating locally can benefit the environment, economy, and your health.

"Where can I buy locally-produced, organic food?" "What area groups are working to alleviate hunger in C-U?" "What does 'fair trade' mean?" "Where can I get a good vegetarian meal?" "Are there any local, sustainably-run farms in this area?" Get the answers to these and other questions at our panel discussion, where we will look at alternative models of food production, and how we can spend money to ensure food justice by purchasing from fair trade, local, and slow food models.

To be eligible for reimbursement, an organic production or handling operation must be located within Illinois, comply with the USDA National Organic Program regulations for organic production or handling and have received certification or continuation of certification by a USDA-accredited certifying agent between October 1, 2008 and September 30, 2009.
