About 90 universities in the United States and throughout the world comprise the Universities Council on Water Resources (UCOWR) organization. Member institutions engage in education, research, public service, international activities, and information support for policy development related to water resources. Each member university appoints four faculty members as UCOWR lead delegates; others may join as individual members.

WORT is an interdisciplinary/interinstitutional team of researchers from the Illinois Natural History Survey and the UI College of ACES, researching organic production issues for Illinois farmers. The team works closely with a farmer advisory committee who guide research objectives and provide feedback on research results for the team. Research is conducted on the Cruse tract of the UI South Farms in Champaign Illinois.

A program run by the Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The Wisconsin School for Beginning Dairy Farmers is a one-year certificate program in grass-based dairying. The course provides opportunities for internships, mentoring, farm tours, and networking with experienced grass-based dairy farmers. You can also learn about grazing sheep, goats, and other species. Specialized scholarship support and a distance education option are available for this course.
