Workshop description
This will focus on integrating georeferenced data to construct sustainability indices. After initial discussion of concepts, indicators and data, a group exercise in variable weighting using analytical hierarchy process will be conducted and the individual and group weightings will be compared. A demonstration applying the weights and constructing index maps will then be performed, followed by open discussion of pitfalls and potential refinements to the methods.Software requirements: ArcGIS (including spatial analyst), MSExcel
