Public leaders to discuss pending congressional bill to combat global warming

What:

Environment Illinois will release a new report documenting how unabated global warming's could hurt Illinois’s corn farmers. Illinois ranks second in the nation for corn production, making corn a crucial component of Illinois’s economy. Representatives of the farming industry, environmental groups, and clean energy businesses advocate for reduced carbon emissions.

Congress is poised to vote next week on the American Clean Energy and Security act—a historic bill to combat global warming and launch America’s transition to clean energy.
