Slow Food meeting, potluck and an executive chef's presentation on lamb.

The next Slow Food meeting will be Sunday, August 3, 2008, from 5-8 PM. We will gather at Montgomery's on the Square in Monticello, IL. This will be a Slow Food potluck dinner. Each family attending is asked to bring a dish to share and their beverage of choice. This should be a great evening. Please come!

Come learn about lamb! Convivium member Jake Sanders, Montgomery's Executive Chef, will break down a whole lamb carcass explaining the various cuts of meat and what to look for when purchasing lamb. Other members also have hands on experience with lamb so this should be a lively gathering. Please plan to participate!

Goose Creek Convivium meets every other month on a Sunday afternoon or evening, usually with a potluck meal. In addition, the group decided to include a learning component at our gatherings. Meetings are planned several months out so folks can hold the dates. If you have a topic or demonstration to suggest for a future gathering PLEASE add your perspective and preferences. We need topics for February and April 2009!
