Terra Brockman, of the Land Connection, is spearheading an effort to select a "Farmer in Chief." The appointee will be tasked with converting "five, prime, south-facing acres of White House lawn" into an organic garden.
The idea was concieved by Michael Pollan in his open letter to the next president.
Brockman has started a website to accept nominations and eventually select the candidate.
