The Illinois Local and Organic Food and Farm Task Force is coming to town, and they want your feedback on the state of the State’s food system.
Anyone who eats is invited to join this listening session. Topics will include:
- consumer access to local and organic food
- local and organic food production in the state of Illinois
- Food system infrastructure
- Educational opportunities regarding sustainable food and agriculture
Date: Wednesday, May 28, 2008
Time: 7:00 – 9:00 P.M.
Location: Urbana Civic Center, 108 E. Water Street, Downtown Urbana
This event is free and open to the public.
Featured speakers will include Urbana Mayor Laurel Prussing, Dr. Wesley Jarrell of the University of Illinois, Debbie Hillman and Jim Braun of the Illinois Local and Organic Food and Farm Task Force…. and YOU.
